The men-folk from “The Nation of Islam were also the first ones to plant ideas about pride, self-esteem and identity beyond bouncing and behaving hair and bleaching creams.

They caused me to question more of what I was being taught in school, which at the time was mighty alabaster in nature.



In this video, Habibi and I talk about The Center. I was getting confused about "The Mosque" being the same as "The Center" My understanding is that The Mosque is a part of the Islamic Center of Southern California. But there are social and community activities that happen in the building as well.
